This dirt road is easy, fun and full of beautiful scenery including waterfalls, creeks, rivers, bridges and hillsides. It goes from Colfax to Foresthill, about 14 miles. Take the West Paoli Lane exit off I-80 north of Sacramento and turn right. There is a gas station and a store within a few yards of the freeway. For detailed directions see the map link below.

Awesome ride! The last time I was there was too much snow to pass through, but I had my fun making moto “snow angels” everywhere.
Reading your blog is a total blast back to the roads that taught me to ride! 162, Mosquito and Yankee Jims are some of my all time favorite rides. In any case, thank you for posting!
P.S. I thought Jurgens road was my little secret water crossing, guess it wasn’t so secret after all 🙂 !
